Summer Jazz Weekend Is Back In America’s Jazz Crossroads!

The 2018 edition of Summer Jazz Weekend will feature two nights of world class live jazz music with the 6th Annual Summer Jazz Stroll in uptown Clarksburg, followed  the next evening with Summer Jazz: A Music & Dining Experience at Bridgeport Conference Center.

HALF PAGE AD Thursday, June 7 for 2018 SUMMER JAZZ WEEKEND

The Jazz Stroll will feature eight bands in five venues – Washington Square, Fifth Floor Lounge, My Little Cupcake, Kelly’s Irish Pub and Parker’s 4th Street – all located within two blocks of each other in Clarksburg’s business district.  Featured artists include Chuck Redd, a world renowned drummer and vibraphonist, along with Jeff Bush, the dynamic trombone specialist from Pittsburgh, Jeremy Soule, Kid Kurtis and Clarksburg favorite, Karen Greene.

The Saturday night event, Summer Jazz: A Music & Dining Experience, will feature Ken Peplowski, considered the greatest living jazz clarinetist, as he leads the Summer Jazz All Stars, a quintet of players from the previous night’s Stroll.  The music is presented with a five course tapas feast, served after a  champagne reception and exhibit of fine art glass and crystal by the Museum of American Glass.

That is what you’d call a tour de force of cultural opportunity.
